Sustainability
Living and operating sustainably is imperative to ensure that the earth and the natural world can coexist with humans.
Sustainability is the ability to maintain a balance between the natural environment and the needs of society, without compromising either. It's about looking for ways to reduce environmental impacts and promote human well-being.
Here at Cyber Acoustics, we’re constantly researching new packaging, shipping methods, and recycling methods so that we can reduce plastic waste and lower our carbon footprint. Our packaging is intentionally minimal, made from recycled cardboard with no harmful dyes or single-use plastics in the majority of our packaging, and this year we investigated numerous other sustainable packaging options, which we plan to transition to moving forward. In addition, we are moving away from printed paper inserts, instead providing QR codes linking to full online manuals. We continue to look for ways to ensure our packaging is as compact and resourceful as possible.
Recycling materials and reducing waste are two of the critical principles of sustainability. Recyclable packaging is a way to reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills, and it also helps to save natural resources.
“We’re all about providing solutions - and that doesn’t stop at electronics! We are constantly taking action for a better tomorrow. Smarter packaging and longer-lasting products are just the first step. We are committed to a continued process of innovation, adaptation, and change to better our planet.”
Steve Erickson, COO
According to the EPA, “Containers and packaging make up a major portion of municipal solid waste (MSW), amounting to 82.2 million tons of generation in 2018 (28.1 percent of total generation).”
Cyber Acoustics is taking steps to eliminate single-use plastic and any non-recyclable material from our packaging! Along with utilizing 100% recyclable material, we’re altering our packaging to be more compact and efficient –♻♻♻.
We have developed a First in Industry Recycling Program!
We offer an electronics recycling program for wired peripherals, including headsets, headphones, and earphones. If it doesn't have a battery or a power supply, we will take it and recycle it to keep plastics and metals from ending up in landfills.
For less than 10 wired peripherals and other electronics recycling programs check out these resources.
