Why can't I hear myself speaking?

Why isn't my microphone working?

The AC-5002 uses a TRRS plug for both audio and mic. It must be connected to a combo headset jack, usually marked with a headset icon. If your computer has separate ports for audio output and input, the headset will require a 3.5mm Y-adapter cable.

Where do I find driver updates?

Go to the computer manufacturer's website and search for the latest audio drivers. Common sources: Dell support at dell.com/support, HP support at support.hp.com, Lenovo support at support.lenovo.com.

Where do I download your software?

Our headsets use the generic audio drivers provided by the device — no additional software is needed. If you cannot hear anything, try another audio source first.

How do I check my privacy settings?

On the Start menu, select Settings, then Privacy. Under App Permissions, click Microphone. Make sure Allow apps is turned on, then select which apps have access.

How do I get extra ear pads?

How do I identify the product with no model number on it?

Check the retail packaging, proof of purchase, manual, or the product itself. If not found, visit cyberacoustics.com or send a picture to info@cyberacoustics.com.

What does noise canceling mean?

Noise canceling means the headphones minimize ambient noise such as airplane or road noise to maximize sound quality.

Why won't my USB-C headset work for phone calls on my Android phone?

Android phones do not support the full USB audio protocol. You can listen to audio, but not make phone calls.

Why is my headphone jack not working?

Common causes include physical damage to the headphones or jack, a software error from an interfering application, outdated audio drivers, or general Windows system issues. Try updating your drivers first.

Where do I plug my headset in?

Most computers have a sound out or headphone jack color-coded green. Laptops have it on the side or back. Some computers have separate microphone (red) and headphone (green) jacks, requiring a dual-plug headset or Y-adapter.

Why can't I connect via Bluetooth with the last connected device when returning?

Go into the device's Bluetooth settings and re-select the headset to reconnect. Ensure you are within Bluetooth range of approximately 100 unobstructed feet. Walls or other electronics can affect pairing.

Why can't I connect my HS-1500BT to my iPhone, Tablet, or Smartphone?

Turn the headset off. Remove it from your device's Bluetooth list. Turn it back on — the LED flashes red and blue in pairing mode. Re-enable Bluetooth on your device and select CA Essential HS-1500BT to pair.

What is the difference between on-ear and over-ear headphones?

On-ear headphones have smaller earpads that sit on top of your ears. Over-ear headphones have larger earpads that fit around your entire ear.

I don't have any audio coming out of my speakers but the power light is on.

Ensure audio settings are correct and volumes are up with nothing muted. Test by plugging into another device like a phone. If they work elsewhere, the issue is with your computer.

There is a slight hum coming from my speaker while no music is playing.

Make sure your volume levels are set properly. Some sound cards at certain volume levels can cause a hum or distorted sound.

How do I get USB speakers to work on an Apple Computer?

Plug the USB speaker into any open USB port. Go to System Preferences, then Sound, and select the USB device for output. If not recognized, try another USB port.

What is the average Bluetooth range of your devices?

Our Bluetooth chips typically reach approximately 30 feet, though room conditions can vary signal strength.

What devices are your Bluetooth speakers compatible with?

Any Bluetooth device that supports audio playback, including iPhones, iPads, laptops, tablets, and MP3 players.

Do your speakers work with devices that don't have Bluetooth?

Yes. You can use an auxiliary cable to plug non-Bluetooth devices into the speaker system.

What is a speakerphone used for?

A speakerphone is used to conduct meetings or make phone calls hands-free. Multiple users can speak from one location to communicate with others on the other side.

Can you use a CA Essential Speakerphone while charging?

Yes, you can talk on the speakerphone while it charges.

Can the speakerphone connect to both a laptop via USB and a phone via Bluetooth at the same time?

Yes. Both your computer via USB and your phone via Bluetooth can be connected to the SP-2000 simultaneously. Use the source button to toggle between the two active calls.

How do I turn on my microphone?

Select Start, then Settings, then Privacy, then Microphone. In Allow access to the microphone on this device, click Change and make sure Microphone access is turned on.

How do I enable my microphone for Google Meet?

In Google Meet, click More, then Settings, then Audio. Select your microphone from the dropdown and click Done.

Why does my microphone sound robotic?

A robotic-sounding microphone is commonly due to a power flow issue. Check that your drivers are updated and that your computer is properly grounded.

Do your USB microphones work with XLR connections?

No, these devices only support a USB connection and cannot work with devices using quarter-inch or XLR connections.

Do USB microphones work on a PS4?

Yes, you can use a USB microphone on a PS4.

What does a webcam do?

A webcam is a digital video device used to transmit pictures over the Internet. It is popularly used with instant messaging services and for recording images.

Why is the webcam video feed black?

Do not forget to roll back your privacy screen or shutter.

Is 720p good enough for a webcam?

A webcam with at least 720p resolution is acceptable, though 1080p is better and increasingly common and affordable.

Do all webcams come with a built-in microphone?

Most webcams include built-in microphones. For example, the WC-2000 comes with a built-in microphone.

Why can't I output the display to two different monitors?

Double check that your computer's USB-C port supports alt display protocols. If using an adapter, you will need to use an active cable for DisplayPort.

What DisplayPort to HDMI adapter do I need for a docking station?

The DisplayPort to HDMI cable must be an active cable. The word active will be in the product description.

Why can't I output to two monitors on an Apple computer with a docking station?

The Apple USB-C only allows one monitor output.

The docking station is not working with the USB-C port on my computer.

You may need to update your computer's BIOS and graphics drivers to the latest versions. Older BIOS versions and drivers could result in your computer not recognizing the docking station.

Why is the docking station device not recognized?

Go to the computer manufacturer's website such as Dell or HP and update all of your drivers.

Are the docking stations Linux supported?

We do not currently support or test our products on Linux, but if the system supports DP-Alt Mode and has the proper drivers installed then the docking station is compatible.

The docking station is not charging my computer through USB-C.

The docking station supports up to 90W max Power Delivery. The minimum power requirement for charging is platform dependent. Please refer to your platform user manual.

CA-2890: Does this device have a built-in microphone?

No, the CA-2890 does not have a built-in microphone. If you need a speaker bar that can be used as a speakerphone, we recommend the CA-2890BT or CA-2890PRO speaker bars.
