How to set up a 3.5mm Headset on a mac computer

A. Plug the USB plug into the USB port.

Make sure the USB plug is completely plugged into the USB port.

B. Double check the headset mute button.( If the headset has a mute button.)

If the USB headset has a mute button on its inline controls, please double check that the mute is not turned on. If your usb headset doesn’t have that feature no worries.

C. Open Sound Settings.

1. Locate the speaker apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen and click it.

2. Click on “System preferences”

3. Click on “Sound”

D. Set the headset as the output device.

4. Click on the “Output” tab.

5. Click on the External headphones under “Select a device for sound output.”

6. Adjust the volume to your preference.

E. Set the headset as the input device.

7. Click on the “Input” tab

8. Click on the Click on the external microphone under “Select a device for sound input.”

9. Adjust your headset microphone input volume to your preference
